What's new in 1.13

A complete native rewrite. Faster, richer, more yours.

Native

Fully native engine

DSP rewritten natively in C++. Up to 5× faster than v1.0 depending on the style. Lean binaries, snappy startup.

New mode

Pro Chain Builder

Build your own effect chain from 37 DSP modules. Drag, reorder, save as custom preset.

+4 formats

WAV · FLAC · OGG · AIFF

Four export formats in 16 or 24-bit. The 1.0 only exported WAV.

Audio quality

Every module rewritten

All 37 DSP modules rewritten from scratch for cleaner, more precise audio at every stretch ratio.

+5 presets

New factory signatures

Deteriorating Memories, Harmonic Healing, Forest Breathing, DNA Splice, Ancient Chant. Five new curated signatures.

USeed

Infinite exploration, reproducible

Every render carries a USeed: a portable code that captures the full chain (modules, parameters, stereo spread). Paste one back to reproduce a render exactly on any machine, or roll the dice for endless new variations.

Simple Workflow

1

Import

Drag any audio file. Supports WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, OGG, AIFF.

2

Configure

Choose a style. Adjust intensity and output duration.

3

Generate

One click. Reproducible results with seed control.

USeed system

One source. Infinite soundscapes.

Every generation is born from a USeed – a portable code that captures your full chain, modules, and parameters. Random by default, perfectly reproducible. Roll for new territory, lock a USeed to keep a favorite, tweak a parameter to explore variants.

Same source, three USeeds, three distinct soundscapes

Random by default

Every run is unique

Drop a file, click Generate. A fresh USeed produces a distinct soundscape. Run it 100 times on the same source and you get 100 different outputs. The dice never land the same way twice.

Reproducible

Copy the USeed, keep it forever

Paste a USeed back in, re-generate with the same source, and you get a byte-identical output. Perfect for client revisions or regenerating a favorite that you accidentally deleted.

Explorable

Lock the feel, tweak the details

Lock a USeed you love, then shift duration, brightness, or chaos. The core texture persists while the details evolve. You explore incrementally instead of rolling blindly.

USeeds are displayed after every generation in the UI – ready to copy into a note, a DAW marker, or a collaborator message.

In their words

Used by sound makers

Reverie is in the hands of working composers, producers and sound designers. Here is what some of them have to say.

The OED definition of Reverie is "a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream. It is a dreamy, meditative state of mind where a person is temporarily unaware of their immediate surroundings". And that is precisely what happened when I encountered and used Reverie the first time. It has become an essential tool in expanding my sonic adventures.

I've done Trailer Music Sound Design in the past and other than Ambient tracks, which Reverie is more than qualified for, I've been creating loops of my complete songs where I import them into Reverie to create parts and use within my Rock Hybrid Remixes. It's a fantastic way to work and I really don't have any other tools that sound like this. So glad I found it!

Reverie serves both as both a creative and reflective instrument. You learn more about the sounds you have made, and yourself.

Reverie has been invaluable for making drones and other beds for my DnB tracks: it doesn't have to be used on its own!
