10 Reverie Presets That Sound Like a Signed Record
A curator's walk through ten of Reverie's strongest presets, from the extreme to the subtle.
Reverie ships with 20 factory presets. Each one is a tuned chain of DSP modules designed to produce a specific ambient signature from any source audio. This is a tour of ten that stand out, what they do, what sources feed them best, and when to reach for each.
011. Infinite Drone
A 100× stretch with deep reverb and subtle breathing. Designed for 10-minute meditation beds. Feed it a low-register source (cello, bass synth, vocal hum) for maximum weight. Best with dark source material.
022. Cathedral
Celestial shimmer with long reverb tails and chord layering. Turns any melodic source into a choral pad. Perfect for vocal sources – a hummed chord becomes a gothic choir.
033. Harmonic Healing
One of the five new presets in version 1.13. Deep resonant drones with sympathetic harmonics tuned to musical intervals. Built specifically for meditation and contemplative long-form listening.
044. Tape Memories
Lo-fi nostalgia with tape saturation, subtle bitcrush, and vintage reverb. Feed it any recognizable melodic source – a piano phrase, a synth line, a vocal – and it returns a hazy memory of itself.
055. Deep Ocean
Underwater pressure with modulated low-pass filters, slow phaser, and long delay. Perfect for aquatic scenes in game audio or film. Works best with pad-like sources, not with percussion.
066. Dense Fog
Foggy 60× stretch with heavy spectral blur and absorbed reverb. A bed for drowned landscapes. Feed it field recordings for maximum effect – it smooths the ambient noise floor into something beautiful.
077. Forest Breathing
Another new 1.13 preset. Organic nature-inspired warmth with gentle breathing modulation. Pair it with a field recording of wind and birds and you have a ready-to-use game audio bed.
088. Sound Mutation
Radical metamorphosis via spectral morphing and harmonic shifting. Takes a recognizable source and transforms it into something related but fundamentally different. Good for experimental work.
099. Frozen Time
Crystalline PaulStretch-style spectral freeze with 8-minute target duration. Turns a single note into a sustained crystal pad. Best with harmonically simple sources – a single chord, not a busy mix.
1010. Pure Silence
Minimalist contemplative spaces with subtle ambient bed. The quietest preset. Perfect for background under narration or meditation. Works with almost any source at almost any length.
