What's New in Reverie 1.13

Reverie 1.13 is the biggest update the app has seen. We rebuilt everything from the ground up as native code on both macOS and Windows, with all 37 DSP modules rewritten natively. If you are coming from 1.0, the differences are immediate.

01Native performance

The 1.0 Electron app bundled Chromium, Node, and Python. The 1.13 native app compiles straight to your platform. Startup time dropped from 2-5 seconds to under 1. Memory usage dropped 3-5×. The binary is 40-80 MB instead of 150-250 MB. Render speed: up to 5× faster depending on the style, see the changelog benchmarks for the full sweep.

02Pro Chain Builder mode

The headline feature. Alongside Dreamscape (preset-driven), Reverie 1.13 adds Custom Pro mode – a DAW-style chain builder where you drag any of 37 modules into a custom effect chain, tweak every parameter, reorder, save as custom preset. This unlocks the full power of the DSP engine for producers and sound designers.

035 new factory presets

We added five new curated presets to the 15 existing ones: Deteriorating Memories (tape loop erosion), Harmonic Healing (deep resonant drones for meditation), Forest Breathing (organic nature-inspired warmth), DNA Splice (spectral DNA fusion of two sound identities), and Ancient Chant (eternal ritual drone with formant resonance). The Pro tier now has 20 factory presets in total.

04Better exports

4 output formats instead of 1: WAV, FLAC, OGG, AIFF. Both 16-bit and 24-bit modes for WAV and AIFF. Your source sample rate is preserved end-to-end. Drop-in ready for DAWs, film post, game audio middleware.

05Platform-exclusive goodies

06Migration from 1.0

Your 1.0 license migrates automatically. Install 1.13, open it once, your Pro features unlock. No new key, no upgrade fee, no paperwork. If you had 1.0 Pro, you have 1.13 Pro.
